Falling in love with the art of writing at a young age, she often volunteered to be secretary when others strategized for presidency. With her fascination for the written word ever-growing, Aja dedicated her academic career to studying various genres of composition, leading her to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English from UNC Greensboro and a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the UNC School of the Arts. With a desire to be a modern day griot whose words are materialized on screen as well as on paper, Aja published a book of poetry (Life on Paper) at the age of 19, wrote and produced an award winning short film (PROSE), serves as the founder of the North Carolina based production company, 4C Productions, LLC, and also teaches budding Creatives techniques to edify their storytelling endeavors. Aja can often be found writing, creating an organizational tracker or pitch deck, enjoying a movie or show she's seen a million times before (like it's the first time), listening to Country music or something soulful and upbeat that makes her want to dance, spending time with family, or of course envisioning her next creative venture.
