What is the difference between coaching and counseling?
Coaching and Counseling at Compassion are both goal and solution-oriented. Coaching is an on-ramp for greater accountability, while counseling provides space for deeper exploration of psychological concerns.
How long are individuals usually in therapy or coaching?
This is all relevant to what concerns you’re bringing to the table. Individuals have different thoughts on what they want to get out of these spaces and our goal is to craft it to your individualized needs and requests.
Do you accept insurance?
If you would like counseling/therapy, Sade currently accepts most plans associated with Aetna, United Health Care, and Cigna. Coaching clients are required to pay out-of-pocket.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
As of right now, Compassion is only offering virtual sessions.
How often will I attend sessions?
This is also relative. For therapy, the goal is to see you weekly for at least 1 - 2 months to establish great rapport and a rhythm in addressing some core concerns. However, due to availability or financial constraints, coaching or counseling sessions can be scheduled as frequently or as infrequently as you want.
